Booted on Hobby Lobby Parking Lot- Newnan, GA

Newnan Georgia hates truckers.
Even the pilot is hiding.
The sign is behind a stinkin tree.

 

And what I object to are truckers who think that the world owes them a parking lot. If a private property owner asks you to move your 60 foot, 80 ton truck off his property then you need to do it with grace and professionalism. He's the one who's making payments on that lot not you and he owes you nothing.

When was the last time you picked up a hitchhiker who needed a ride or asked a homeless man who needed a bed to sleep on to jump on your spare bunk? I've never done it and I have my reasons not to just as that property owner has his reasons not to allow trucks. You need to respect that.

 

We will have to agree to disagree, I don't have a problem with people who require you to get permission, I'm simply saying there is not enough parking in many cities and many drivers suffer as a result.

Drive safe out there.

 

Ultimately you're responsible for this ticket, and if signs are posted: why take the chance? I sincerely hope that you find proper parking and save your money...it's better spend on things you need. (Not boots)

 

Who is responsible for the lack of truck parking?

I wish the situation was different and their was room enough for everybody everywhere, but no one but the trucking company is responsible for storing and delivering that freight. It is the hight of irresponsibility to think everybody else must accommodate your truck and someone elses freight just because some trucking company wants to save a buck.

Yeah because there are so many jobs out there for people, this thread is really interesting, it's been an eye opener to how people feel about one of the more interesting topics in the industry...
