so, when I started I was told that since I've a parksmart if I idle when temperatures are between 20-90 degrees it'll count against my fuel compliance score and it'll affect my bonus. If I didn't have a parksmart it would be between 20-70.

So. Now that I've been driving and idling when temps are over 90... How exactly do they adjust this? When I look at the scorecard, my fuel compliance isn't good at all, mainly because of idling. Since when I stop for the night my mpg is plenty good but after all the idling it's not so good.

Anyway. It doesn't look like its adjusted at all. I asked my dbl a while ago and she said that it's automatically adjusted. I asked her again a couple weeks ago and she said she manually adjusts it at the end of each quarter.

I don't believe it for a second that she goes in and adjusts my mpg metric manually. How exactly does she do that? How does she know how much fuel I've burned idling when it's too hot? I'm sure it's counted, but... It's a little far fetched.

So, to make like a good American, I think it's a conspiracy theory. I think that idling isn't adjusted at all and only overall mpg matters. It's not like there's a way for me to actually check that it's been adjusted.

    Am I wrong here?

Good all day plus bad all nite equals avg 24 hr burn.....but I doubt she's adjusting...but rather blowing smoke.

IF the bonus is good enough...you could pull a JB and slip a few dollars in the tank to skew the actual mpg's.

You need to do the math to see if it's possible.......

They no longer adjust mpg for idling. They use to when idle % was a separate metric for bonus. But now that it's just combined mpg it is no longer adjusted.

Why are you working for people that sit in a 72 degree office and
" punish " people sitting in a trk that is 90 degrees ?

If you are worried about the idling, idle only when you are in the truck sitting getting loaded or unloaded. If you are fueling or in the truck stop or rest area or shipper/consignee, shut the truck off.

My dbl sends out messages saying that if you only idle on your ten hour break, you will remain mpg complaint.
