so I'm hanging out in the drivers lounge, and I see a guy writing down rates on his pad, and I see estimated distance and the gross pay. I see he wrote down 1850$ for about 1050 miles, and 1470$ for 625. I mean if I was running that truck I think I would take the shorter run. You'd have to sit through Sunday but I mean your not wearing down equipment for less money?
So like I asked, am I missing something?

Which one is better to reload from, might be taken into consideration
Crossroads and bzinger Thank this. -
The reason some loads pay more per mile is that they all pay just what the market will bare. As stated above reloads may not be available. The driver may be wanting to go to the longer destination. The weight of the products could be different.
But what you are really missing is that it is just weird for a guy to be hanging out in a drivers lounge staring at drivers. What happened to perverts hanging out around bars? Leave us drivers alone.whoopNride, dngrous_dime, Dryver and 2 others Thank this. -
Think Direction, Weight, home. I would take the higher miles if it got me home, the weight was less, or the direction was toward better freight.
John Dewart Thanks this. -
Did you get his #?
bzinger and Old school 362 Thank this. -
We're you looking at flatbed loads? Knowing that one load is an easy no tarp load, and the other will be a pain sometimes figures in the equation.
bzinger and John Dewart Thank this. -
It might take you a while to read two lines of numbers, but I just caught a glance

There are plenty of other drivers for you to call out therex1Heavy Thanks this.

I do not know. As stated I just took a glance. But I couldn't think of why he'd consider the lower per mile rate, other than weight. This was in Kansas City if I matters

In that case it is all about direction!!!
