That's the first time I've heard W86 refer to anything other than a nuclear warhead.

The Elefant was disabled by an M61 round from a Sherman (most likely, it could have been a different vehicle. The pieces of shrapnel they pulled out of the sprocket were pretty distinctive.

It wasn't an engineer track that pulled it out. It was an M88, a recovery vehicle normally crewed by mechanics. (the smartest people in the army)

The Ordnance Museum was moved to Ft Lee Virginia in 2010, Ft Belvoir is going to be home of the National Museum of the US Army.

The place in Minnesota is Driveatank.com

Thank you kindly for the corrections. So many numbers and errors on my part.

I now go to remedial. It will be a while before I return.

Did they actually move the entire museum to Ft Lee? God knows they got the railroads for that they need it for the Anzio Annie I think it is the rail gun used there backed into a cave to reload.

IF the origninal site in Aberdeen goes away with all the rusting artifcats lined up in the median strips I guess Aberdeen will no longer have to put up with unsecure civilian trash running about sqeualing with delight

I'll get started with the broom and those truly awful references...
