I would look into plumbing a mechanical test gauge in to the engine. That way you can eliminate the problem as either a gauge/wiring problem or an internal engine problem.

Well Electrical Issue will not cause oil pressure flutering between values, and the value to low means that there is a mechanical issue and the oil psi is actually to low. best way to go is check with a mechanical gauge and see if you hav the same outcome

Please post an update when you have a chance of what the problem was, your findings, and the fix. :)

like the two replies above, you should really put an adapter and mechanical gauge, rule that out first, if the mechanical gauge fluctuates, you have issues with the bottom end without a doubt

It is right BUT. Oil pressure may exist or not . its white or black no grey. Mechanical yes or no! But here. Maybe come up )))) in a certain temp and rpm

If the Mechanical gauge reads steady, have someone watch the dash gauge while idling and another pushes/pulls/yanks/thugs on the wire and harness from the sending unit clear to the firewall, it steady while doing that try the inside of the firewall if you can reach. It could be a bad wire or plug somewhere.

My suggestion up to be at the dealer, can you run a test gauge with the cluster menu ?
If so, run it 3 up to 5 times and look if your oil pressure gauge needle is doing the same cycle every time ?
It can help to identify a cluster issue !

Another question is your engine brake (VEB) work like normal when the oil pressure problem is there ?
Because VEB need good engine oil pressure to run like expected, if your VEB is weaker than normal when the oil pressure is moving then you will know you have a mechanical oil pressure issue.
    Hope this can help.
