Chicago Morning mess

    SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (WLS) --
    Two lanes in each direction have reopened on the Bishop Ford Freeway at 159th Street in South Holland after a crash involving a truck carrying lumber Monday morning.

    A semi carrying lumber was involved in an accident on the Bishop Ford.

    According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, a flatbed semi carrying wood traveling in the outbound lanes rolled over around 4:40 a.m. The debris ended up in the inbound lanes.
    The freeway was closed in both directions for about two hours. One southbound lane was reopened after 6:45 a.m. and another lane reopened before 9 a.m.


    No serious injuries were reported

    That's the definition of mess right there. I heard about it on the radio but I was only going to Bolingbrook. Glad I didn't get caught up in that.

    Seriously. What a mess. What the heck happened? Securement, anyone??????????????

    According to the news they claim it was some type of mechanical malfunction :rolleyes: Or a blown tire. The truck was the only vehicle involved
