The one that still gets me is pulling a trailer that pulls hard to one side. Sometimes I look like a complete idiot because here I am trying to dock this and I'm on perfect one side and half a foot off on the other. Pull forward straighten myself out, only I still am still in the same boat.

Gotta watch them shifty trailers! ;)

Sometimes when I'm having a bad day and I can't back in a spot worth a darn I set the brakes at and get out.
Then I run around kicking #### and screaming about them piece of #### mirrors until someone offers to help and then I beat their dome piece in with a load lock (see @scottied67's video)
That gets the bad backing blues out for me.

I find it harder to back to a door that doesn't have clear lines, or at least one trailer beside my assigned door. I think "too much space" can confuse many drivers.

Yeah, parking lot is sketchy. You've got trucks having maneuver around 4wheelers and all the pumps.

Once, just south of Salinas, CA, the dock was open air, 300 feet long, 200 feet in front of me to the fence, no lines! In 45 minutes I still had not got the trailer square to the dock! I finally put several pebbles in a straight line and backed it in! co-driver laughing the whole time!
Another time, I'm backing in beside my number one hero, my idol! No real room or way to do it without several pull ups! I nailed it! Not one pull up! Go figure!

Ya, some days I need three pull ups to back an empty set of Btrains into a tight spot in the yard, and the same day I'll back a loaded set 300 feet straight between a garbage bin and a bulk tanker in one shot

Not to sound like a broken record but glad it's not just me lol.

Back in a undersized dock off a street in Brooklyn (and all that entails), I'm setting the brakes in 2 minutes or less. Try to put it in door 43 out off 100 with nothing 20 doors around me and freshly painted lines, might as well go in and ask them if door 44 is OK...

It took me a while to begin to wrap my mind around the geometry of the set up. I'm not mathematically inclined! I also had no experience pulling anything before a semitrailer (travel trailer, boat, nothing). I have to start out looking over my shoulder then go to the mirrors. And if my window isn't open and my seatbelt off....well expect to wait longer for me to get out of the way.

Bad parking days are like bad hair days. You never know when they're going to strike! :D

That was hard for me to get as a flatbedder. I kept wanting to look straight down the rubrail while backing, like the rib of a shotgun barrel. It don't work that way!
