I hope you understood I don't work for Freymiller so I don't know about chaining. The refresher depends on your skill so that's one for recruiting

So your past experience and how long you been out of a truck dictates your time if any with a trainer?

At Magnum yes it can range from as little as one week to as much as four weeks

I've talked with Student Driver Graduates with Magnum who were in training for six weeks, but that's more the exception than the norm. The norm is four weeks.

Have looked at starting with Freymiller. Said they accept graduates now in my area but there is a 6-8 week waiting period due to a lack of trainers. Anyone know if they have autos by chance?

I'm deciding between Schneider or Freymiller. Anyone have an opinion on which would be the best? I know Freymiller is mostly OTR and SNI have some dedicated positions here in the NW.

Read more on dry van vs reefer, there are real differences between the two styles of trucking that you may want to consider.
Also think about how you want to run, SNI has more dedicated positions that may get you home more, Frey will get you pretty much all around the country.
Frey has nicer equipment, but SNI has a choice program that allows you to move towards an owner op, do your research and pick the one that fits you the best.Rocknroller4 Thanks this. -
Not sure on the auto's, however I would strongly recommend you start in a 10 speed, learn to float before moving to an auto. First it's not that hard to learn when you are driving 10-11 hrs a day and second when you move to an auto it helps to better understand the gear you should be in.
Good luck, by the way I now drive an Eaton Ultrashift Plus truck and like it, sometimes I miss the art that is shifting, but rarely climbing hills lol.Rocknroller4 Thanks this. -
I'd prefer to stay NW/Midwest/NE and avoid the south all together though I know that would be impossible with Freymiller. Maybe SNI would be the best choice. I'd prefer to do dry van but do like the operating hours of doing reefer. Drive somewhat into the night and sleep morning/afternoon in day hours. I'm not sure if you can work overnight trucking? Imagine that would be pretty tough to do.
