I don't know if that list is in the correct order....especially for Houston.

AP is the biggest arse but pays the best...or they did and Linde has no truck ops here, only Praxair.
    My ranking:
    1. AP
    2.Praxair
    3 ALAC
    4. ARG
The Linde deal is a strange one. I worked for Linde which was a sub of Union Carbide, which became stand alone and became Praxair. Mama Carbide was very good to us. Her carcass was sold to the likes of Dow several years back. It was hard to see the iron maiden fall apart . That drivers; was a job!

Linde has returned to Houston but runs a chemical plant. I was told that's a different Linde, not the child of UCC. I never looked deeper but doubt it......

I finally got in the door to Lin after a long wait. It was said upfrt in interview that drivers have been fired because of cell use on camera. But its no worries with me. Cameras will be the norm in the industry in less than two years. Hopefully I get the position though. I refuse to work for a rinky dink place with low pay!!!

if you can handle all the crazy saftey stuff its 1 of the easiest jobs in trucking. have been in the cryo side for 8 years now, 6 as company drivers for matheson 2 years now as o/o. only reason i am no longer a company driver is i personally cant handle the micro management that all the big cryo companys use now. i am all for saftey but having someone falling you around and filming you and camera in truck gets old quick. dont know about linde but for example at matheson if you where driving and had to blow your nose and camera went off you lost saftey bonus for that quarter because of unsafely or distracted driving.

I wouldn't put too much money on that one, there are many companies that could get an insurance break if they install them and they know that, but don't because they know they'll loose drivers over it and many others won't apply. Many recruiters silently watch forums like this and they know the other end of stuff. There are many companies that are so huge they just don't give a crap about what the drivers think or how much churn they have, but many are smarter than that and realize that the constant training and driver replacement costs them more and isn't worth it.
