Ok. There it is. So it's not gaurenteed. Perhaps my company has told our doctors no two year after a downgrade.

Sure encourages Dr shopping for those who don't have to see a company Dr.
Kinda funny because the whole deal with Dr's needing to be certified to give these physicals was to eliminate Dr shopping...More proof it's all about Govt getting more cash and nothing to do with driver health.Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
I am a real stickler for erroneous information being put out as facts! I've normally checked it out before I post information, not to say I'm always right! Sometimes I'm wrong too!
We used to ask students in truck driver training school if you can run recaps on the steering axle of a truck? Almost every one would scream, NO! Then we would point them to the regulation that said they could not go on the steering axle of a passenger carrying bus! Doesn't mention trucks! -
My problem is I don't have white coat syndrome. I have DOT Dr. syndrome.
I can go to my Dr. and have slightly high BP, but still under prehypertension levels. High 1-teens / high 70's. I got my med card today, and was at 130/90. Got my card so no biggie, but man I hate getting my physical as my BP raises because I'm worried my BP is too high and I'll not get my card. Circular thinking I know, but I haven't found a way to break it.

If I was a truck driver with a CDL, I would be more concerned about getting a medical card, regardless of the time frame.
I would NOT be concerned whether or not it was a 1 year or 2 year medical card. My concern would be to get the medical card to be able to keep the CDL, to continue driving a truck.
Also, my main concern would be to obtain and maintain good health. All else would come afterwards.
Good luck to you! God bless you and your family!
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
Either go now or wait till your med card is about to expire. But either way you're going to have to have another physical done.Even though your doctor took you off the medicine that doesn t mean you'll have a normal reading during the physical but hopefully you will. Also there is other tests during a physical you'll need to pass to get a two yr card. Before getting physical done you should get you BP checked to make sure it's still normal.
