    Negative, the Madison County Board of Education will take full ownership and handle all repairs and insurance needs... but the money required for purchase at the beginning is raised through parents, band fees and fund raisers.

    The local Coca Cola company has two fleet vehicles coming out of service. The one we were quoted is a 2003 Pete, single axle rated to 33,000lbs and has an Eaton 6-speed. The vehicle has 172,000mi on it. It is a stripped down bare bones truck... the only pip is A/C. At $7,000 it is seemingly our best option on the table...

    We already have PO's in the place for Ryder, and they have told us in uncertain terms, that they will not guarantee us a rental, even with a months advanced notice. Due to the fact that marching season falls at the same time as picking season, the local Ryder outfit rents most of their vehicles to farmers for the duartion of the harvest. Since the 2008 economic down turn, Ryder no longer keeps excess inventory at our rental location... bummer!

    2006 Freightliner Columbia CL-120m tandem, it has alot of new & rebuilt parts. Transmission & Rear axles, wheel bearings , driveline, u-joints, brake shows, slack adjuster, brake chambers, new suspension on front axle, many more parts, very long life ahead of vehicle...very well maintained. price-42k

    Good Things must be worked for, a semi truck at the 8-12k range, my expectations are this will breakdown on the side of the road. Whereas, my product...very dependable.

    Yeah I mean there isn't some owner operator or container hauler or someone with power only? What about the city or county the school is in they don't have a semi tractor. The county engineer doesn't have one semi tractor? The city the school district is in doesn't have one semi tractor? I mean I guess it's believe able, but a lot of municipalities still do there own garbage collection or what ever and have tractor trailers to do stuff with they don't have a bunch of them, but they have 1 or 2, why not just call the city garage and have them pull the trailer on the weekend when it's being pulled it's not like there running to the landfill on the weekend or doing major tractor trailer projects. If it's a county school then have the county engineer or whoever pull the trailer, I bet they have a tractor you can use on Friday and the weekends.
