My question is to whoever thanked this poster. What about this posting is there to thank? Just don't work for a company out of Grand Rapids, MI? Please lets up the standards here.

There are a few decent companies in the area..... I'm sure there's one, maybe two, good companies in Chicago, too.

    Two things. Actually three.

I remember pre BK Gainey. Now. I remember them well. More on that later, these are the company drivers that almost killed my parents near Cononwingo Dam on 1 in Maryland on that last huge mile long hill and dip prior to the dam. Im glad they BK'ed. They needed that.

    Second.

Logs are not logs until they are signed. I usually kept a journal in writing trip information that fills in over time dates, times of fueling, tolls paid where when etc and eventually the actual dates and times in various towns and cities for the whole trip. Essentially a story book of trucking as we saw it and write it as a record. But it's not a log. it's not a legal document etc just a written story. That helps reconstruct logs after we are fired and sent home. Paper logs reconstructed and then signed, turned into the state unemployment becomes a legal document evidence for which the defending trucking company now has to cough the actual logs or documents to defend themselves against our claim which by now is looking pretty darn powerful in the eyes of the state. Ive won unemployment cases based on that evidence generated against some really large companies for which I got Blacklisted for my trouble. That's ok too. It's the winning and making Case Law for others in the future who are following me in my foot steps after they too get fired...

    Third...

I don't see enough of the OP's story to understand his position. I don't know nothing about the company's position if any. There is two sides to every story and Im still going to wait for that second side to come out before commenting on it in full as it should be.

One person insulted in my eyes the OP rather badly, I reported that person's post and then went ahead and ignored the driver so that there will be no war of words, ego, hard feelings or none of that drama. I don't do drama. I hope you others can understand my position.

I am the owner of Sunset Express and would like to clarify as to what happened. Hankypanky was employed with us for 8 days, after he picked up the load on Monday noon going from Atlanta, GA going to Winchester, Virginia he was late for the Tuesday AM delivery. He delivered the load on Tuesday at 4 pm. When he left Atlanta, he had fresh 70 hours. When he delivered the load in Virginia, I offered him another load from Carlisle, PA to Hartford, CT he declined the load, and he was a COMPANY DRIVER. On Wednesday morning, we gave him a load to Chicago, IL and he declined that load as well. His reason why he couldn't go to Chicago was because previously he was shot there. Then he only wanted a load to Michigan. We found him a load to Michigan, he made the delivery in Muskegon, MI. We told him to bring the truck back to the company yard, and he declined. He kept the brand new 2017 Peterbilt at his home for two days. We called him at least 20 times and he declined to answer. We had no choice but to go and pick up the truck. When I arrived to the truck, he had covered the Company Logo with trash bags.

I doubt very much that you are the owner of Sunset express.

Yeah, ya know it does. I contemplated editing my post to be more positive, but I then thought maybe they'd fire back with some kind of proof or whatever.

Not that proof matters, because this is the interweb and it is what it is.

Did you hear, I was just reelected for mayor of a small town in PA. Isnt that just grand!
