the company that I started out with has a 30% idle policy and I allways got my bonus each time. They also said if you go over too much without getting the over idle approved you will pay.
I know it is bad but you can control you idleing by shuuting off the truck when it is not too hot outside.
I did not let the truck run while I was not in it.

The miles have picked up a little the last week!! We have decided if they give us a load with to much time on it we are just going to run it hard and be there early and then call Central and say we want the load of now or somewhere to drop it...........5 days for 1500 miles is ridiculous.

JJ refused a 300 mile load earlier this week, and a couple of hrs later they sent back the same load on the QC with a preset for the next load which was 1500 miles or so with a 3 day window, both loads were drop and hook, so no wasted time.

We have never had a problem with getting home when its requested......but we only come home once every few months. We do live on I-84 so its in a good freight area.

JJ has put his name on the list for an APU so he doesn't have to Idle much, I'm guessing by the time he gets it winter will be here and we won't need it as the Pete has a good Bunk heater, it has two settings.....Hot or #### Hot.:yes2557:

No,No,No, I wasn't implying your hubby should up and quit. That's exactly one of the things Central wants new hires to do. Because like I said before, "once you start you owe them $3K+". Nothing makes them happier than for a newbie to quit before fulfilling his 1 year commitment. That's free money to them. The best thing you can do for him now is give him the support he needs to make it threw to the final day of his commitment. And like most drivers do get the #*%# away from Central.
I wish you all the best.

Make sure you send a message to your FM when you get home, telling him/her how many days late you were for home time. They guarantee home time, if you're not there, tell then, they will drag their feet a bit, but they should pay you about $40 a day(to some maximum) for it.

I just got my first totally messed up load in many months.
Nobody even knows why we even had the info.
I was sent to Coke in PA to get a load. I got there and the load was gone, on another carrier. Turns out that we never had the load, and nobody knows why we even had the load info.
So now I am sitting on I-80 waiting for my next load. Fleet manager got me the deadhead miles to get here from home/ last stop. So paid from Buff to here lol.

Last week. I just have to wait and see when they will get me to Conley. I talked to a guy I use to drive with at another company. His son is at Conley in orientation right now. I still think that the dispatch is better out of there than Fontana though, so he should be ok. I notice more of the complaints on here are from west coast drivers, not East coast.

According to one of the office staff in Henderson, Central's goal is to have all company drivers on paperless logs by December. There are macros on the qualcomm for paperless logging. Henderson only had the generic Trip Pak logbooks, not the ones preprinted with Central's name on them. I suspect they're phasing them out so they;re not stuck with a million logbooks when they manage to get everyone paperless.

It's coming, and it looks closer than it has in the last 16 months that we'll be going paperless soon.

Don't you love those loads? I had one of those once, it was canceled before the load was even assigned to me.

I don't know how fontana vs conley workd for dispatch. I'm out of SLC and I know I've had a lot of problems with my f/m. In fact, we were transferred last week to a new fleet manager, who's apparently only running us temporarily. No one bothered to say anything to us, so we thought he was watching out old fm's fleet while he took vacation. Wasn't too happy to find out we were switched without anyone bothering to say anything.

Went tru SLC yesterday and the shop reset the qualcom up for paperless so your right I heard Jan. Guess its time to look harder for that new job
not that I lie just twist a bit but now I understand why so many new drivers need to be added to the work force. Finaly got the Icon working so I'm ready for the heat. I think I'll go to Fontana as well and talk to KC about my D/M and his for getting my H/T better be home this weekend cause my sons fly'n down for a few days and I want to see him as well. If Central screws with me I won't be a driv'n old # 26413 any more.

Glad to see they got the truck fixed up for you.
I got a load today that they thought I would deliver. NOT.
Goes to Washington for the 29th, I cannot go there and be in Conley on time. So it will be swapped in Chicago tomorrow afternoon. Or dropped.
What the heck do I want with a 2200 mile 4 day run???
