I thought about tape but figured too mesy. I don't want to ruin anything. Just blind it once in a while. It goes off all times of day and night so it's not the early morning download. They're peaking in, pure and simple. I mean, I know I'm handsome and all but ....

We have a solar screen that we put up when we need privacy. The curtains work better that way.

Seen discussions on camera's versus privacy (more like heated arguments) on a few other boards I frequent. Most companies allow for covering the inside lens when parked. You want to leave the outside one uncovered, as it will CYA if you get hit while in the sleeper.
The cam operators aren't "purving out" on your cute little butt - you can be pretty sure of that. You are operating a piece of "company equipment", so you are technically "on company property" at all times - with ZERO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY (for better or worse, like it out not).
In cab cameras are big business, and pretty soon the insurance companies are going to require pretty much all companies to be running them (note - in cab cams are not FMCSA required in the least). For all the understandable complaints regarding personal privacy - they are a fact of life at most large companies and many smaller ones.
Use a small piece of tape and a business card to cover the inside lens without "gunking up" the camera.chralb Thanks this. -

I hear you and I understand the need for them. I really have no problem with them. but as for being on their property, the same thing could be said for the bank that holds your mortgage. would it be okay for them to install cameras to make sure you're not playing with matches? just a thought.

just curious here. has anyone noticed our electronic secretary stealing driving time? I've noticed that several times now. normally it's only a couple of minutes but this morning I travel 7 miles and reports I use 26 minutes. I'm pulling heavy but not that heavy. lol

Not really the same thing. The mortgage company will only complain when your insurance lapses.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.
