Took the wife and girls to Seaworlds' Aquatica today first family vacation since I moved to Florida years ago. Can't get back the time I missed out on the my girls growing up but now I can make the little time I do have with them even more memorable.

Load wasn't ready Friday. Was told the product won't be ready until Sunday and can't ship until Monday so it's a boring weekend. But the customers paying me.

Hey play ive enjoyed reading your thread I am currently and owner operator trying to make up my mind as to whether to go with crst Malone or crst STI or with Bruce Oakley company out of little Rock , the fact that I can basically dispatch myself is very attractive to me I live in Texas; bu ti am a yankee born and raised in Boston MA so I have no problem running the northeast at all my main concern is whether or not I can make any money hear . I don't mind running and the further the better as far as I see it . I don't mind coming home on the weekend or every other weekend reset and go back out. think I could do great at any of the three thinking Malone for the flatbed experience mostly just hope I can make some money there if I choose to come over

Living in Texas wouldn't be bad at all here. Just follow the freight trends. Texas is either really busy or really dead, it's good that you are willing to run the north east, I have a couple contacts that get decent but not great freight out of there as well I don't know anything about STI it Bruce Oakley. Please PM me if I can be of any help.

Unloading 4 skids now, then headed toward my pickup tomorrow. Same day pick and delivery $475 on 177 miles. Not really happy with the daily rate but it puts me where I need to be.

I talk to a lot of people here considering joining Malone. Some are in the process of applications, some are hauling their first load tomorrow.

Please let me reiterate this for lease purchase drivers. I wish it weren't the case but the process of leaving orientation, getting your truck trailer and equipment sucks. And their isn't an excuse for it, please come here with a few dimes in your pocket expecting to wait a few days for things to pan out. If I can help in anyway possible let me know.

If you receive a hard working reliable truck you can make money here. No questions asked, If your truck is reliable and your not making better than company driver the only person to blame is you. Not Malone, not CRST, not the agents you the man or woman driving the truck and choosing your own loads.

This has been a hell of a month hoping the next couple weeks go the same.

Yesterday (Monday) was my first day of orientation in OKC. Basic trucking orientation, fill out paperwork and sit around and wait. Drug test and sit around and wait. Then after lunch we watched a few securement videos. Tue is supposed to be outside doing securement all day and for those that have their own trucks (me) will get inspected. Super excited to move onto the actual securement and get some real training in!
