That used to work but no longer since the update. One could "theoretically" make that work but I'm "guessing" one would have to manually jump back and forth to make it stick.

    Too much work for me.

Went to bed Friday night hauling a load of croutons destined for Front Royal, VA, and not due to be delivered until Tuesday. My trainer spent a large part of Friday trying to find out "Are we REALLY going to just sit on this load for four days?" By the time I went to sleep, no answer had been forthcoming.

Woke up yesterday morning in the Richmond yard. Change of plans came in during the night, and we were told to drop it there. After getting a shower, we got our new orders: Haul a buncha stuff to four separate stops, with the first one being a Hill Phoenix load to some podunk town on the Arizona/California state line, with drop #2 also in Arizona, and drops #3 and #4 in California.

My trainer is reminding them that he has hometime coming up this weekend, so he's hoping someone else will take the load to the last two stops.

Anyhow, yesterday was my first full driving shift, where I actually got nagged by the little lady in the box about having less than an hour of drive time available. Put in 607.8 miles. Coulda done more, but most of it was UP and down and UP and down and UP and down through the Appalachian foothills, which kept my speed south of 55mph for long stretches.

Also experienced the joy of, for the first time ever, driving down a 4-mile-long 5% downgrade, in the rain, in the fog, in low-light conditions, while carrying around 40k pounds of stuff. That may be old hat for you experienced truckers, but it was a high pucker-factor for this newbie.

No, things didn't work out for me there. Didn't have a good experience with my trainer. My husband is still there, but I'm weighing my/our options right now. Sucks, but sometimes things don't work out as planned.

    MD beat me to it.

It is a lot of work. Off duty 7 minutes. Sleeper 7 minutes off duty 7 minutes & so on. Fix all to off duty when you stop for the day. Probably technically illegal, but.....have had it save me a couple times.

They didn't have a different trainer for you? Couldn't hubby do it?

My QC is FAR too slow for that. Mainly, traffic will just "start flowing" and I have to be going 4mph or less to access my log or messages at all. Sucks as stopping to do ANYTHING is a HUGE waste of time when I need information now.
