Ummm, you'd better go reefer. That flatbedding is really hard work. I had a friend die from hard work. Why do you want to fool with chains and tarps and get dirty when you can just open and close the trailer doors? You don't want to be a blue collar driver.

ive had a weid load of pipe and steel, as i was standing there staring at the CF i had to deal with, another flatbedder came over, stood next to me for a few minutes, and just said "well this is going to be a mess, you start throwing this side, ill start on the other"

The other thing about flatbeders.... notice how quick we get excited about open deck work? Never heard a reefer driver go on about the day he figured out how to jam 48,000 lbs of fish on..... just something about it gets in your blood. Even tierd, and angry at the world.... start talking about crazy loads with a skate and you will see that glint... like this week im sliping for our line haul guy...... so my awesome 3 pipe load route for tomorrow is going to another driver. Im annoyed about it. Realize i have almost a sleepwalk day ahead of me, and im jealous of the guy who has to prep n load 3 times tomorrow.... yeah... just something about it .

Yeah, how many times you pull into a truck stop with a van or reefer and a trucker comes up and asks, "What the HECK is THAT!!??"

Or you see someone staring at your load, and its not to criticize, but to ask so how exactly did you do that?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Thanks again everyone for the feedback. Still not 100% in which way I want to go but I am leaning towards flatbeds!

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
