The point is they are forcing the driver to shoulder the responsibility that in any other industry (and likely even trucking) would be outright illegal. Ever hear of a forktruck driver, or a carpenter, or any other industry have to pay for an accident as an employee?

Numerous speeding violations, numerous OOS orders, including HOS violations,on board recording device information not available (someone's been unplugging their E-logs),failure to keep 7 days worth of logs,failure to keep logbooks, etc.,etc.,
This company is about as dirty as they can get- they make SWIFT look like a dream job.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
Anytime you get into a larger company you're going to have issues with some drivers. I'm sure they were taken care of properly. Let me see you companies dot record lol

So is mine but I'm not gonna jeopardize it with ANY COMPANY, regardless of fleet size. But if a company with only 500 trucks can't properly maintain its fleet then something is seriously wrong. My employer is no angel themselves but at least they're proactive about maintenance and safety issues(and we get numerous Qualcomm messages to prove it.
