Opinions on reliable engines

You can get a used Schnieder glider. It's a Freightliner Columbia with a Detroit 60 series 12.7L pre-emmision engine. I bought one (2012) and leased it on to USA Truck and now CRST Malone flatbed. Ironically I couldn't lease it on to Schnieder but that was prob a blessing in disguise, haha

 

Yes 03 was the transition year so if you want to get technical thats true. So generally speaking 2003 and newer has the egr .2002 and older your good.

 

I think the Volvo D12 is an underrated motor. Very reliable.

 

If you really want a older truck......get a 99 or older.

 

Trucks built at the end of 2002, were registered as 2003, so when searching Truck Paper for example, I put 2003 and older
