That truck was leased to a local company...moron didn't set the brakes.....thats a bad deal for sure, but it could have been worse
-
brakes set or not, it said he was filling up at the time and the truck "lunged" forward several dozen feet, how is that possible, I could understand if it rolled several dozen feet, but lunged? wouldn't it have to be in gear to "lunge"? Either way, sucks to be him.
-
I'll bet the truck owner isn't lovin' it.

This guy was inside the store when his rig rolled off. It was more than a few feet. Across one parking lot into McDonalds and right through the walls. He claims he set all brakes but DPS officers said he set none. Truck was never in gear. Just rolled on it's own momentum. Lucky no one was seriously hurt. He'll find another job here in no time. Too many don't care about safety, just as long as you are Spanish speaker and work cheap.
Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -

I wonder what part of 11'10" he/she didnt understand?
-
Um... even IF he or she didn't see the 11'10" sign, it's not very difficult to see, with your own eyes, something that is THAT low!
Hell, I can spot anything that's close to 13'6"... if it's unmarked, and looks low, I come to a complete stop and ease up to it... just to be sure. Better safe than sorry.
