Seems reasonable as most I have looked at are under 450 except for the older ones . My loads would be 80K to 85K and not so much mountains since mainly in the Ok to Ne area . Just some hills

I used to put about 3 gallons a day in a freightliner day cab .It was only 1 year old . Poured out of a bad gasket on pump .

I dont know I had a 318 in my dodge dart and it ran pretty well . Pulled me and my lady around around with no problem but then we are both skinny .

    #### and I thought a gallon every couple of days was bad. It's embarrassing, people know where you've been, where you're going, and you can't hide, all they gotta do is follow the drip.

Adding oil was just part of driving those older trucks. Took an old milk truck, tri-axle IH 4300, 318, ( not THAT 318 mark, HA) a distance of 150 miles (75 each way) boss said make sure to check the oil and take some with you. Naturally, there was nothing on the stick, put 3 gallons in and took 2 with. When I got to the turn around, (75 miles, mind you) nothing on the stick, again, put the 2 gallons in, was still a gallon low. I kept an eye on the oil pressure, in case I had to stop and get some more.
