It is a NY State maintained highway. It is now called I 86. It used to be NY 17.

Sometimes it's better to let a sleeping dog lay.....Bean Jr., Ruthless, Highway Sailor and 2 others Thank this.

FYI - I called the NY Dept of Highway Taxation and asked for both of these locations. It was an interesting question that I have never come across.
Spoke to "Erica" there. She said that those to sections reported in this thread (PA and CT) would be reported as NY miles the whole way. Obviously if you drove other roads into those states, you would report to those states. But not those two aforementioned spots where it briefly dips into PA and CT on what is considered NY parts of the Interstate.01blackz28 Thanks this. -
You just made my day!!!!!Dieselboss Thanks this.

Now, call and ask PA and CT about those sections. Of course NY is going to claim it.

I couldn't reach anyone on PA on the phone , so I went ahead and emailed the state of Pennsylvania on this matter. The woman that responded said she is working on that question and did not have a definite answer !Bo Hunt Thanks this.
