Nice of him to back in so far and not leave his nose sticking out.

Mud flap under the front tire, flap bracket almost rubbing against back tire. Cab curtains closed. Probably wasn't even aware of the damage. Looks like a brand new trailer too.

I've done that a few times myself. Never put my tires up on the curb,.. but have torn my mudflap off backing into a dark spot and not stopping before bumping the curb. I have a step with very short mudflaps on the rear,.. does not take much to rip one off.

Last year I lost one when I backed into a snow pile. I didnt think anything of it at the time. The mudflap was warm,.. it melted into the snow. The snow froze over night,.. when I pulled away in the morning,. I heard a thud. I got out and looked,.. there was my mudflap stuck in the snow pile.

I ripped a mudflap off in concrete once. Was delivering to my favorite place while they were loading mixer trucks with fast setting concrete, the kind used in pothole repairs on interstates. After they drop it, it takes about twenty minutes to set up, and is fully cured in forty minutes.

Anyways, we park right next to the customers wash pit, and some of the mixer drivers like to wash right where we park, making a huge mess for us. I noticed when I arrived, there was a mixer unloading some leftover material right where I park to unload. Normally not an issue, as I'm usually only there about 45 minutes, most cement don't dry that quick and I wash it off. So I back into the little pile of wet cement he left behind, unload and pull away, leaving my right mudflap in the now hard concrete. Lesson learned

I remember when I was training with OD the guy who I was with was trying to back in off a very busy road into some electronics store dock and tore the flap off when he hopped it up over the curb. He was like "not a word new guy!" Lol. I was like yeah yeah I know the drill...squirrels stole it.
