One of my coworkers had a stroke in the checkout line at Walmart. He was standing there in line and started feeling very weird. He couldn't talk to the clerk and was drooling. Said he used the shopping cart as a walker and drug himself outside before getting help. He said the only think he could think of is he didn't want to die in the checkout line at Walmart. He jokes about it now but he did almost die.
As far as clothes go. I wear jeans, pocket tee or button up, and work boots all day every day. You never know when you've got to get out and do some serious work so I stay prepared.
Flip flops say to me that you're not serious about work. I don't even think they are acceptable for leisure time unless you are at the beach. Don't own a pair, never will. Don't own any jogging pants either. -
Right now just on medication 3 times a day right now.tucker Thanks this.

You wear workboots all day and don't own flipflops.
You are the reason I own two pairs of flipflops and a pair of crocs. So I don't catch whatever your feet grew in those sweaty boots and spread to the shower.
Friday, MidWest_MacDaddy, nonsense007 and 2 others Thank this. -
I beg your pardon. MY boots are very "cultured", thank you very much.MACK E-6 and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

Now that you mention it I have seen what looked like yogurt in a couple shower drains.
No doubt that will have been your doing.MidWest_MacDaddy and Lepton1 Thank this. -
shower shoes and flip flops are different I have shower shoes and the only time I wear them is in the shower...but I think your right about fungi on feet it is like the reason they have no shirt no shoes no service signs. wish they would include flip flops and crocs in that definition that's how I end up feeling around food and flip flops...Last edited: Aug 28, 2016

Whenever I am eating, looking down at people's feet never crosses my mind.
Now if the people preparing and serving the food had their feet up on the counter AND they were wearing flip flops well...I would be forced to look away.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
I'm only local so I don't do truck stop showers either.
I'll tell you my complete shoe collection. Pair of Redwing lace up work boots, pair of nice cowboy boots for when I dress up, pair of tennis shoes that I wear maybe 2-3 times a year, and I do own a pair of water shoes for the rare occasion my wife drags me to the beach.
Don't wear shorts either except on the rare beach occasion ( legs as white as snow of course
).
