You're probably right there I've only looked at it from a glider standpoint you can't build a glider to avoid elog but I guess there's nothing stopping you from putting a 6nz motor in an older truck...

 

I have a 97 379 pete with 2.3 million overall and but a good used take out 12.7 detroit with 100k rebuild in the truck last year. My truck is mechanically sound and just replace parts as needed. Id drive my truck anywhere in the us with out hesitation. I pass all the newer trucks weekly sitting on the side of the road broke down for some reason or another. Ill keep this ol girl.

 

Summer truck:
1986 model 359, 3406b, 15 over, 3.90

Winter truck:
1998 T800, M11, 13 double over, 4.33

Unreliable? Don't make me laugh.

 

I swear I saw that truck (or one painted up just like it) pulling B-train hoppers in Alberta today.

1996 KW T600 Cummins N14 18 speed 3.36 rears. 1.8 million on the clock. Currently driving her 47 states with brand new 2017 transcraft stepdeck. Currently getting 6.6 MPG occasionally up to 7.0

 

Inland Kenworth Tolleson AZ couple weeks ago and all I saw were brand..or nearly new trucks coming in on hooks!
Funny not one old truck arrived that way while I was there (including mine)

 

I dumped my '08 Volvo 730 due to ridiculous emissions system problems and picked up a 2006 Western Star 4900 EX Lowmax. Yes, I know, the 14 liter DDEC-V is an EGR motor, but as of tomorrow it won't be anymore.

 

Good lookin' ride right there.
