Celadon trucking school.

Been up there once or twice. I'm 30 miles from Colorado on US 40

 

No argument here; in fact some readers will remember me vigorously defending them when I worked there. Thing to remember is the company's needs come first. That said, they're more interested in keeping you productive (read: making them money) than in screwing you over.

I used to tell noobs who heard the bitter veterans telling them they're just out to get you that the company won't go out of their way to make you rich, but they also won't go out of their way to hurt you. Learn the system they have in place, and you can make your way pretty well within the boundaries of that system. They'll help you within reason; they haven't been around and grown to their current level by deliberately cutting people's throats. They're actually invested in your success. But occasionally, their interests can run contrary to yours, and you have to know your terms beforehand and stick to them.

Good on you for not wanting to lease. There's nothing wrong with leasing IMHO, but it isn't good for someone just starting out any more than training people is.

You're in a place that's better than most. They do more for new drivers than almost every other big company out there.

Doing research on schools in Indy. Looking for best school period. Like what I heard.

 

I'm in Indy too (bet you never would have guessed) LOL. I've heard great things about TDI.

Does anyone know if there is an option to go solo after your trainer?
I thought team to begin with, is mandatory?
