And some speed limiter law will somehow solve that?

    Give me a break.

This is nothing more than yet another bought and paid for piece of feel-good BS because nobody will enforce the laws we already have.

I agree entirely Mack. And I would add that's it bought and paid for also by segments of the industry that have difficulty competing the ways things are. So they lobby to "level the playing field". Because, heaven forbid, they figure out why they can not compete and change their business models so they can. It's easier to force everyone else to act just like them.

You will see a problem when you have all these trucks all going the same speed on some of these crowded roads. Road rage will increase exponentially. And so will accidents related to road rage. And then the dimwitts in Washington won't identify the real problem when many classes of accidents increase. Instead of repealing the bad policy, they'll come up with a new bad policy. Many of your fellow Canadians won't go east of Winnipeg, because of how great your speed limiter law works. I talk to many Canadians. Many of them consider that law to be a dismal failure at its intended purpose. As it will be down here. My company goes up there pretty regularly, and is a division of Bison.

Kind of surprises me a little that we didn't even get to the second or third page of this thread before someone spoke in support of such a stupid misguided mandate. I guess it shouldn't have surprised me, but it did.
