I've heard from a few sorces that Verizon is choking bandwidth on unlimited data plans in operation. They obviously want to eliminate all the folks plans who still have unlimited data. It's greed at its best.

    Has anyone else hearing that?

I just renewed with Verizon, my old contract expired a year and a half ago,
(I bought a new iPhone at an Apple Store this spring and kept my old plan)
16 instead of 12 gig, and data rollover and I think they will throttle me back, plus it's about $20 cheaper a month.
But knowing Verizon, even with the extra 4 gigs a month, I'll have to use less data and they'll say I'm using more. I'm waiting for that class action

    thejackal Thanks this.

i have no problem, well i don't have any data plans, maybe that's why?

seriously, maybe they cut back on the ones that do not subscribe to more and they constantly go over each month, with the plan they have?

My Verizon chains were broken in June.
I plan on switching to Total Wireless at Walmart. (verizon network)
$35 a month unlimited talk, text and 5 gb data.
Extra data is $10 for 3 gb.

Straight talk uses verizon network. I used to have verizon, tried to barely use my data, went over ten gigs so fast my head would spin. Went to straight talk unlimited and first ten gigs high speed for 55 bucks a month, and unlimited after that, and watching youtube videos
all the time rarely even reach my trn gigs, and no extra charges out of nowhere. Best deal out there, and I seem to get widest rrception. If you are sick of verizon, this works.

At the end of your billing period doesn't seem like all of sudden you start bleeding data

It's true. I posted a link in one of the posts here in this same sub forum a month or so ago. They are working to capture the largest consumers of bandwidth.
