Hey drvrtech, do you have the DT12? If so, how well does the truck pull hills the way that Schneider has them specd? Do they pull decent when up around 70-80k?

Hopefully u dont have to pull 70 or 80k lol and it doesnt pull like a manual unless u keep ur foot to the floor.. but if u wanna do that then get the manual because the dt12 is spex to run at lower rpms which is where the fuel svings come into play.. u wanna pull hard up a hill, u pay with fuel :) i want the dt12 mostly for the fuel economy....

It will do fairly well...with that much weight...you should be able to go up gill pretty decently...btw, unlike company trucks, the performance side of the transmission is unlocked.

I can pull the mountains out west and have my foot on the pedal while climbing and it hardly effects my overall mpg...

I've been crunching some numbers as this is what I've come up with so far.
$1100 fix weekly for truck and insurance and maintenance
    $1000 week for fuel
    $1200 week bringhome [b4 taxes]
This is based off my cureent yearly gross as a company driver now.
So i need to make roughly $3300 weekly gross to make the same income that i am making as a company driver now.
Ideally i would prefer to be closer to 4k weekly ..I stay out 3 to 5 weeks at a time..go home 3 days.. I have no problem with running the north.. is this close to what the current drivers are making on the choice board? Thx

According to my CRM, the average net is $800 a week. I've run into several ICs that aren't even keeping up with their truck payments. A few do really well. For most they would be better off staying company drivers.

Netting $1200 a week as an IC would be more like grossing $700 or maybe $800 a week as a company driver.

Average weekly net of an IC driver is $800? My net means after i take 20% out for taxes and fuel has been accounted for.. $800a week seems pretty low for IC.

$800 weekly is what i net as a company driver.. i dont mind making the same as an IC lease driver, i just dont want to make less :) so thats my $1200 weekly takehome number. If this can be done I'm all in.
