Since I'm no longer Johnboy's pet, they pretty much suck. Guess you have to be a pampered pro to make any decent runs here.
So after 3 hours at the dock waiting for product to arrive, I finally get loaded with 21 pallets at 9,308lbs of container lids and let go in the heart of Chicago's Friday night rush hour. Oh what fun!! Made it to the flying J on 65 exit 240.
Shower, laundry and a sit down meal are calling me.
As far as the Gatoraid shuffle RC? I'll take it over these continuing failed broker loads.![]()

Not sure where in Chicago you are, but the USX terminal in Markham is a good place to stay. BT down the street and there is a Wally World and a lot of restaurants.
Yeah, I'd take the shuffle over sitting too.
MidWest_MacDaddy, KD5AXG and chralb Thank this. -
Well I'll be dropping off a shiny new 7505. I don't care. Crap trailers for crap loads? Sounds like a match made in heaven.

Not there anymore but thanks for the info. It'll come in handy one day I'm sure.

I hear ya, it's not just you either.chralb Thanks this.

Yeah, not sure what it is. Maybe I'm being punished for something. But after 2 or 3 great runs out of the gate, the bottom dropped out and it's been hell ever since.
I see 22 year old fresh CDL grads out there with better, newer trucks and better runs. Guess they need the old dog here to keep old things running and clean up the messes. But something's gotta give. And soon!
Think its time to do some HT somewhere in the country and think about things.
KD5AXG Thanks this. -
Wow, that's not good after being solo a month when they know U can runchralb Thanks this.

Man, that's a quick change in your tune. You started off so gung ho and positive. Hope it gets better for you quickly. Maybe time to have a chat with some office folks. McChatty suggests that quite often. Maybe John can give you some advice.KD5AXG Thanks this.

I was there. Ups and downs. A fallout with my FM, then a bury the hatchet meeting made things better for me. This week will be my best milage week to date. Real home time is not until the last week of this month. Hopefully, I can get a few "stretch the 'ol legs" runs and keep my checking account happy.MidWest_MacDaddy and Lonesome Thank this.
