The way they word the Guarantee is that you must be available for dispatch for the entire 7 day period. So you are not available for dispatch during a 34 hour reset. So NO you do not get a guarantee. What you get is the number of miles you made. That will add up to more then the guarantee.
Oh, and now that I am thinking about my time there, I am remembering more about them. One of the things they are really big on is running however it takes to get the job done. Not necessarily legal. Many times I got messages across the qualcomm to creep over to a certain place and finish my break. CREEP? Yes roll slowly enough and go short enough distances to fool your elogs. Now I could have refused and I did everytime it was put out over the qualcomm as being illegal. But I got the message. Because the DMs are the golden boys of the company, drivers are at risk.

As a Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, I have lived by the honor code. I will not lie, steal, or cheat nor tolerate anyone who does. Calling me a liar ends this discussion. I believe sir, I must wish you a good day.

You DO get the guarantee of you take a reset on the road. But we rarely do a reset. Most of the time, they want you to run off of recap hours. I don't know about the CREEPING thing you said, they always made sure I run legal. And every now and then they remind drivers about the hours of service on our daily safety message that every driver receives.Mtn Gal Thanks this.

I did not call you a liar, I was raised better than that. I'm sorry if you misinterpret my sentence. I just opposed some of your points, that's not calling you a liar

The minute K&B thug #3 mentioned the wife he assumed the risk of an ### whipping.Bakari742, Trucker E and Florida Playboy Thank this.

How far did they want you to creep? Reason I ask is because if it was more than a few miles it would be a futile effort as many elogs kick into line 3 based on location. Meaning you could drive around in circles in the truck stop all night and be on line one or two the whole time but if it senses the truck moved a certain distance it will go into driving status. Plus "creeping" on a roadway would not be very safe I'd imagine.

A friend of mine runs for K&B, he was telling me about stopping for a 10 hour break and was hoping to grab some much needed rest, they messaged him that he was up for a drug screen and a cab was en route to pick him up. He was hoping the cab would get there quick. Two hours later the cab shows, takes him to the screening and six hours later he's back at his truck and trying to nap, then the dispatcher starts bugging him about getting started again. He's like I need a little sleep and his dispatcher is telling him he just had a 10 hour break. ###### it you do and ###### if you don't.
Western flyer and Bakari742 Thank this. -
I'd have showed that as on duty-not driving, and when the cab dropped me off, go back to sleeper berth. Screw 'em. Then when they call, say, "sorry, a drug screen is considered on duty time. I need to get my 10 hour break. I'll be ready and rolling when I'm legal". "Talk to you then".Mtn Gal, SidewaysBentHalo, Ragingbull and 2 others Thank this.

Lol, alghazi you are funny brother. Abe handled it and that was that.

I don't think your friend told you the whole story. They can't ask him to drive if had just slept for 2 hours.
