This company I drive for doesn't even have the trucks pre-wired for one, so I haven't had one. My first road job I had a cheap little Cobra 18 and actually that thing worked great and came in handy all the time. I'm always bummed I cant tune in when I come up on a huge accident delay.

I don't have a cb. Don't want a cb. Don't need a cb. Have I wanted to use a cb to alert a driver about something? Yes. But I don't want to buy a POS radio to just leave the volume down because of all the static and useless crap that's spoken on there.

I'd only get a CB if I worked along with my dad. Otherwise, forget about it. Plenty of BS talk on TTR anyways.

And when winter comes, I just pull on over before major areas and get a scope of what I'm driving into. No CB needed.

No need. The rookie wiggle intensifies with the pocket action.

He must have heard me, else how did he know he needed to fix the placard? Just would have been nice if he could have come back on the radio saying thanks for the heads up.

When your a new driver hearing this over the radio in a raspy manly voice for the first time there is a small piece of you that dies a little on the inside. Cracked me up though 13 yrs ago.

I laugh every time I hear it.

    Apparently I am easily amused.
