zinita17601 Thanks this. -
I don't believe they are a dot requirement, but shippers and carriers sometimes require them.
For the chains get side boxes.zinita17601 Thanks this. -
I don't have a headache rack and I have never been turned away for a load. Here is how I store mine in a side box of my trailer.

We took some sheet metal and cut pieces to fit and welded everything together. Here is a pic of my other trailer. This one is made out of lumber.rank, Gentlemanfarmer, barroll and 10 others Thank this.

Sorry about the poor pics. I forgot to crop them.

That's one hell of a tidy box. We don't have dedicated trailers but the boss man is fussy(good) in how our boxes stay. He knows what is in every trailer and it's gotta stay clean and organized but they get messy regardless. I'm going to send him a pic of how you organized yours.

I built a wood divider for one of my sideboxes. Made the mistake of not putting some anchor brackets to hold it to the floor of the box. Over about 300 miles it floated toward the top and the contents were an unorganized mess underneath.
rank, 4mer trucker, MJ1657 and 3 others Thank this. -
You are correct. I had that problem as well.rank and 4mer trucker Thank this.
