Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm headed over to SVTN tomorrow to talk with terminal manager and Superior is a few minutes away and I'll probably stop in there.
SVTN or CTL

Cajun I worked for CTL for a little over a month. They've got plenty of miles, more than their drivers can do. But communication is NOT their strong point. Left hand has not a clue what the right is doing. I did have an awesome trainer though, put me up in a motel every night lol

I'm supposed to start orientation on Monday with CTL but I can't get info from the recruiter. He tells me he will call me but no call. It's a little frustrating and I don't want to keep sitting here waiting.
-
Are you going to orientation in St Gabe?
-
Not with CTL at this point. I called several times today and talked to a different person and got a little info. She slipped up and said they only have one position available and they have multiple people applying and they are working their way down the list till they get it filled. I was told I was going to start on the 12th but in the system it shows a much later date. I'm a little disappointed because I took my time to research CTL and really wanted to give them a try but I can't sit around waiting and be told no thanks after a long wait.
Interview with SVTN went really well today but their hiring process is not the fastest so we will see what corporate says tomorrow. Terminal manager is sending everything over to them and keep the process going. -
Which terminal did you apply to for CTL? Here at the Savannah terminal is actively recruiting. We had 3 out of our 8 drivers leave because the terminal got rid of regional.
-
St Gabriel. I was told they had spots but now keep getting the run around. 2 weeks now my orientation has been back and now it's an unknown date.
-
In your case, I'd look somewhere else. CTL wasn't my first choice, but it's great starter company to get you some experience. I wanted to go with Superior, but the Charleston TM told me my school was bottom barrel....so no chance.
-
I'm waiting on Superior to process my application now.

Did you look at McKenzie Tank Lines? They hire new grads, but I don't know how they pay.
