Just saw an ad where they are offering 91k for trainers. I don't know if I trust them though...

I'd like to be a trainer and abuse all the new generation of drivers but I don't want to die too far from home and be left like garbage on a ditch somewhere in Idaho or Nebraska.

    The money sounds good though

I trained for a while. It sucks, but I never felt like I was in danger. I would consider the offer for sure.

That's $91,000 gross while fleasing and "training" 2 students at a time.
After expenses you should clear about $8,000.

My trainer was a company driver and made pretty good money. I saw his statement but I can't remember what it was. The bad thing is you have to deal with living with someone and their bad habits in a tiny truck. I just don't think I could handle that.

Just my humble opinion....but if you are training for the money, you are training for the wrong reasons. Don't get me wrong, you should not train for free. But you should want to TRAIN, to help a new guy get a better start than you may have had yourself, first. After you've decided you want to train new guys for the right reasons, then think about the compensation.

I believe I mentioned abusing my students as the primary reason. Money is second but like somebody out there (whose name I don't recall) once said: if you're good at something don't do it for free. I happen to like and enjoy the art of teaching.
