Hopefully you turn out better than the dedicated company men I've run across so far, in so much as not leaving faulty equipment for the next guy.
They must teach that someplace.
This took all of 5 minutes to fix, 3 minutes of which was buying the lamp.
You want to keep your #### wired tight army dog, you may discover there are bethere paths in this game. And a squeaky clean record makes it a whole lot easier.

Sni offered me .40 to start (.38+.02 safety bonus). And a raise to .41 at 3 months. Same bonus as you. I was brand spanking new out of CDL school.
They used a 4 year military = 1 year experience formula. I did not drive anything in the military. Well, cars. Nothing that required a CDL. Or work on any vehicles.
Edit: to be completely honest, they didn't offer this to me until I told them that swift was giving me .37 to start so .33 wasn't going to cut it. I didn't tell them that I wouldn't have driven for swift no matter what though...Last edited: Aug 27, 2016
Waggledaddy and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
Yeah its a pretty sweet deal for vets here at Schneider, just hope I will enjoy the local dedicated as much as I have running regional. Guess I will find out on the 1st. Regardless it's what I have to do for my son.
Don't worry Dave, unlike you navy boys us Army engineers know how to fix stuff. Ok well maybe we just break it real good...oops out of service, lol. Hoorah!!Dave_in_AZ, Waggledaddy, Friday and 2 others Thank this. -
Have you been able to get the bonus each quarter?
-
Bonuses are easily attainable after you get the hang of ETA setting and trip planning
Friday Thanks this. -
I started at the same. But my bonus was less. But if I remember correctly, I'll be at .42cpm after a year. It's more of a gradual jump too. I just don't remember the figures. Also, different areas pay more or less. Then as @cobudbelly said previous military bumps you up in pay too.

I started the local position Tuesday. It is pretty easy so far, mainly been delivering relays that have been dropped at the Dallas OC or the Atomic yard. I work a 12 hour shift from 10 to 10 and I go home everyday. As soon as I get settled into the routine, my kids will be moving home with me.
Friday, milehunter43, Home_on_wheels and 3 others Thank this. -
awesome man. congrats on both counts. I'm sure you've already thought of it, but have back up emergency sitter in place , just in case.Waggledaddy and cobudbelly Thank this.

Thank you Mickey. I'm lucky got my Dad living two doors down the street and my step-sister across the street. Without family close I wouldn't be able to make the 12 hour shifts work with the kids. Really enjoyed this week. Mainly just finishing up loads that have been relayed due to live loads or closed shippers when drivers arrived with them. Provides a job for me and gets the otr guys back on the road instead of sitting.
Waggledaddy and Home_on_wheels Thank this. -
sounds great. guessing its a salary position?
