That sounds like they are letting one truck in for every two that leaves.. You'll be there forever.. That's what the HD in West Columbia does but i call in and dropped it at the drop yard... My time is too valuable
-
Oh aren't those just the best days, though?!?! Really love the job when I gotta do that crap.. :^)AM14 Thanks this.

T-Mobile. The swindled me with the whole "binge on" thing. Switched from att and while it's great when I have service, that only happens most of the time instead of almost always.
Got out of there in an hour. On hold with sni now.. This 0 mile load doesn't add upHome_on_wheels Thanks this. -
Interesting. I switched to T-Mobile from AT&T back in February for the same reason, but the only places I don't have signal with T-Mobile are places I didn't have signal with AT&T either (mostly the hills of Pennsylvania or the mountains of Kentucky/Tennessee). In fact, if I don't have T-Mobile signal, my phone automatically switches over to AT&T anyway.

Where does the 0 mile load go? Google that address? I had a few of those, but they 700+ mile loads. The system screwed up. Wouldn't plan my fuel either

A lot of Ohio just says no service. A whole lot of West Virginia is AT&T but it knocks me down to 4g and its "data roaming" which doesn't allow for anything really. Driving through the mountains, I lose signal very frequently and with AT&T it was significantly less. It's not a big deal really, just worries me a bit when I go 20+ miles and no service. Wouldn't be the greatest to break down in one of those areas.
I've been contemplating Verizon. Their data is just so ridiculously expensive for the larger packages. I suppose I could get the wifi thing from t mobile and use that for streaming and get Verizon for phone service.
Eh. It's a work in progress.
So, it was a very special thing. Load was going 0.3 miles away. Next door really. What made it interesting was the fact that it was a rejected load. So the bills showed the place where I picked it up as the delivery location. And shipper on the bills was a few hundred miles away. Turned out correct though, which was good since I needed to be in Napoleon at 1500 for a load.
Hurry up and wait here though. All about "service critical, must make pickup on time!" And they still haven't started actually loading me yet........... -
I hope you're at least getting some shorthaul pay for that!AM14 Thanks this.

Delivering there is my most common back haul when I get one. I've seen em pretty backed up before but not that slow. They usually open the exit gate and send the dedicated inbound trucks through there so it moves along. I've never been there after 7 am so that's probably why I've gotten lucky. Those JB hunt yard jockeys are absolutely insane though. By far the most reckless switchers I've ever seen. Keep your head on a constant swivel there.
And I totally agree that Verizon's data rates are absurd but the coverage is reliable. I have 16gb+2 free gb and VZW has a rollover program now that I just switched to today. A 20% Gov. discount keeps me out of the poor house every month. I only have consistent loss of service in two places that I've noticed. A 4 mile stretch on 80 in PA around mm 178 and a small stretch of 77 in WV by one of the rest areas.Friday Thanks this.
