@Mavrick3116 - this is Britton Transport thread.

It'll rain sooner or later.

Traversed Donner I-80 westbound for first time. Sitting at exit 145 Pacific Pride for the night. Didn't feel like searching for parking around Stockton and Tracy this time of night. -
Peelsession, glad to hear your doing well. Good decision on the parking choice. My motto is "better the parking space you have versus the one you're having to look for."Peelsession Thanks this.

Have a few quick questions for current flatbed drivers at Britton.
3 yrs OTR Experience but 0 Flatbed.
Am I looking at spending weeks in a truck with a trainer?
I understand it's .40cpm to start, right? Loaded and unloaded? Are raises or the usual .01cpm "loyalty bonus" a yearly thing? What's the cap? How many miles are you seeing on average a week?
Do you guys get detention pay? Layover? Are there any other "secret" bonuses?
I think I read the trucks are mostly auto Volvos? APU? Inverter? You also have elogs?
I live pretty much dead center of NC, so I'm assuming every other weekend at home, right? And you guys do actually run 48 states (not just reserved for 20yrs + guys at the company)?
Sorry so many questions but I've had a few interviews lately and I'm finding recruiters aren't the most reliable source of information.
When I started driving a truck all I wanted to do was flatbed and run the entire country but I ended up pulling dry vans only covering the east coast. Britton almost sounds too good to be true...
Thanks for taking the time with my questions. -
@McLean79 Check this flatbed outfit's thread.

I spent 6 weeks with our trainer but I was a brand new driver. Your time will likely be shorter. Just depends on how quickly you feel comfortable with loading/securing.
.40 cpm is for drivers like me who are inexperienced. Van drivers start a bit lower. You should start around .42 to .44 I'm guessing. Hash that out with our recruiter before you make your decision. I will see .44 by my second year.
That base pay is loaded or unloaded. The current cap is .45 cpm...I think.
The only thing that limits my miles are shippers/receivers not open for extended hours like a lot of van freight.
I'm averaging 2300-2500 miles. I'm finding as I get more proficient at tarping/securing, I can keep moving and get more miles in. -
Detention is typically a non-issue. Shippers and receivers typically get you loaded/unloaded easily within two hours. If it takes longer, a quick call to our dispatcher should get you some money for your time. I just make a note of arrival time and departure times (not including what it takes you to secure/tarp of course), then contact dispatcher if need be. Very rare I have to make that call.
Layover/breakdown pay is given without issue as well. Quarterly training is paid $45 for 30 minutes of videos/quizzes. Holiday pay is $100 if on the road for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Also, $100 if working either of two days after Thanksgiving and either of two days before or after Christmas.
Health insurance is covered for driver. I pay less than $50/month for vision and dental.
Auto volvos. They come with EPU, inverter, cb antennas and hookups. We use Peoplenet E-logs...easy to use.
