Interesting article , I can't say I have seen any on the roads and I suspect there would be some issues getting them legal in many countries.
In South Africa they also used to convert Internationals to RHD then export them into African countries but it was outlawed as you had to be approved by the original manufacturer.
As International had a plant here they were not about to approve anyone to compete with them with cheap imports. -
Today I saw Terberg with Volvo cabin

2,400 rpm sounds the same as a v8 gas engine turning 7,200!wore out, Ozdriver, rank and 1 other person Thank this.

How cool is that. Would that be two 6v's tied together?
Ozdriver and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
The versatile Detroit, even change the rotation depending on application.

The 12V71 was one block and two heads (one left, one right).
The 12V92 was a front and rear block bolted together with four heads. In other words, 2 X 6V92s bolted together with one flywheel housing.

I see. Thanks Oz. I moved a snowblower truck a couple of years ago. The wheels were powered by a 466 CID international and the snow blower was powered by two V6 detroits tied together so that must have been a 12V92. It was quite a sight to behold.Ozdriver Thanks this.

They came out the factory as a V12. You couldn't bolt two 6V92s to make a 12V92 without a lot of work. I'm not sure about the 12V92, but the 16V92 had two cranks bolted together.
The 20V92 had three blocks, six heads and six turbos! I saw them in Wabco Haulpaks.wore out, Toomanybikes and rank Thank this.
