The whole point of bringing the card is to establish that you are, indeed, a US citizen. You could also bring a passport instead of the SS card if you have that.

I was talking about missouri DVM. THEY only need said or handed to them for permit. I sent message to Swift recruiter...waiting on Swift's answer.

I will be doing the I9 stuff at orientation tomorrow. I will tell you what they really do that night when I get home. Unless something goes wrong.

Ok, so they actually do I-9 on the last day. But they gave us a paper saying what they will accept as proof of identity and citizenship. A US passport covers everything. If you don't have one, you can bring your birth certificate and drivers license and that should do. Native American tribal ID's and documents also work along with a birth certificate.

Yeah, if you have a passport you're fine. I was hired within the past 10 days. I cannot find my birth cert, my SS card was defaced thanks to Texas and the adhesive #### they put on their licenses.
I showed my passport and CDL, nothing else was needed.
