Hi, Sent apps to a number of companies. Swift is only one that keeps calling back and said they would accept my app but won't actually run it until a week before school. I am in Bay Area so they will send me to Fontana/Riverside in SoCal. I think I'll take it, need to jump in and get this career started sooner than later. Is Fontana a good school? How are trainers/Mentors there. I think I'll start with dry van as recruiter said that would be easiest to get out to Albany, NY for hometime with my girls. Eventually may switch over to flatbed if I can still do NY hometime. Just not sure how big their flatbed division is.

I talked to a husband and wife team of Swifties while researching companies to try and sign on with, and they said they average about 5k miles per week running team at a .51cpm split. About 2500 miles average, but they also said that they tend to avoid resets like the plague. In short, they could be running harder. They had no problem sitting and spending an hour talking with a stranger in a Walmart parking lot while the 14 hour clock was running, if that tells you how hard they were running.
