I'm with you.
I climb in an out of my trailer sometimes 20 times a day, and to use any type of extra tools to do that just isn't worth the trouble as long as it's done safely.

I like my little giant although I haven't used it since I got my new trailer. Gordon general flatbed I see this as just extra equipment since you still need a ladder that reaches 13 ft.
-
I wouldn't want one. I carry a little giant and usually only use it when getting on top of a tall load. I keep it on the headache rack.

Better get a pad lock n chain there driver, i hear tell them things got legs.. .

Just swap to a lowboy. You just step straight from the ground to the deck.
Oxbow, passingthru69 and Chewy352 Thank this. -
Ha! I just got a mental picture of a guy using a rgn as a handi truck!
(Just a joke, dont report me)

Those things have been around for a few years at least. A lot of the union rigging companies use them to get on and off the trailer. One told me if they get caught not using it they get in trouble. More osha garbage I'm sure.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Personally find that useless, if I was going to carry ladder it would be one that I could get on top of the load to tarp but I only have 4' tarps.
I saw a pretty cool telescoping ladder today at the chrome shop in OK city. Much easier to operate than the little giant but can't be made into a step ladder like the little giant.
Thought it was cool but didn't care enough to ask how much. Now just for this wish I had. -
Safety first wouldn't want to fall off trying to climb on the trailer... 3 points of contact.
