Hey friend, if you need to GTFO, go to one of those pay storage facilities and rent a storage bin (normally around $99/month). Empty your truck out. Line your next gig up. Then do like street eater suggested and notify the police. Reject all loads and tell them that you're bringing the truck in. If they do the stolen truck routine, the police will have record. "Cool. Here's your truck at the police impound yard." Be sure to keep a copy of names and badges numbers.

I need automotive advice. Anyone know a good landscaping message board I can ask my question on?
Seriously OP, start parting out the truck until you've got enough cash to cover what they owe you! -

[QUOTE="roaddogz1966,
My Questions are:
After I unload tomorrow with my load can I take this truck to the truck stop and hand the keys to the cashier and leave it? No. The truck & trailer is returned to Company Terminal. Abandonment of a Companies equipment will make it hard to find another job and you will be charged for this.
If by chance I take it back to the yard and I get arrested can they legally keep my stuff in the truck? What did the Police say, when they called you...did they ask you stop calling or did the Police say they have a warrant for your arrest. (it sounds like it was getting close but didnt rise to the level of an arrest, when not being paid, its understood people will get annoyed...dont sweat it.). Legally no one can keep your property, normally property is boxed up and set aside until its picked up. If erminated...your property wlll not remain in a truck.)
I want to just get my things out of this truck and go get a motel room and find my way back home Curious, are you currently working freight for this Company or did they terminate you. Myself, i would find another job prior to leaving your current job.
*when asked about your emotional outburst, (next time) be nonchalant, saying im still annoyed...i've worked this long...(...)...its my impression that your using me to float your bills, i.e. using recently worked freight bills to pay on older worked freight, (we all do this...it sounds bad, but its trucking). However, the police wont look to use as the sole aggressor & thats nice.
If you've ever been this situation or know somebody that has please give me good legal advice I would really appreciate it[/QUOTE]roaddogz1966 and street beater Thank this. -
Their is some good advice you got already here.
Their are some logistics of your situation missing here that might help you out. Like how far from home are you? When was your last home time? How far from home is their terminal? Just some thoughts to make this go easier.
If you can't get your stuff home without moving the truck 1000s of miles do Six's storage unit idea; Some of these places you can that get it done 24/7, but the sooner the better.
Secondly you need to go home for a "family emergency," now. Make up some BS, don't tell them a thing, it don't matter, you need to get to the terminal and get home, no loads. You give them any clue that you are about to call them on their scam of a job, they will escalate things for nothing more than spite. My guess is the only reason you are out there and haven't got any loads heading home is because you are their cash cow that they don't want loose.
And of course record everything from this point on. Including, the exact condition, location, and time and date, with photos you leave the truck in. All the details of your last load and conversation with the customer. Don't make the last customer part of it, just short and sweet and record you did nothing wong. Record all conversations, keep all messages.roaddogz1966 and street beater Thank this. -
Okay. Lets get to the point. First. Where are you? What company are you talking about? Put that information out there now as by posting the information you will have proof that you are looking to do the right thing. Do it in your next post.
Once we have that information we can get you advice more directly to the point. -
Just fuel up 1st then tell boss you are heading over to office to drop off paper work before next load, if they dont have the ck. ready follow other advice
roaddogz1966 Thanks this. -
This sounds just too unbelievable to me.
Nope, not buying it... there's more to the story.
Police: "Hello?"
Company: "Yeah, one of our employees keeps calling us because he wants us to pay him."
Police: "Uh... okay. What's the problem?"
Company: "Well, we want you to call him to tell him to stop because we don't want to pay him."
Police: "Oh, I see. Sure thing, give us his number and we'll get right on it."

Not un imaginable, fng's will listen to just about anything their first dm tells them... not bad, but not good either, my guess they "threatened to call the cops.. they felt they had him under thumb..

I have text them many times asking them to put my money on my fuel card or send me a Walmart to Walmart Wire transfer or just get me a whole new load that brings me through the office so I can pick up my cash... I have been doing a lot of sitting the past week and a half and I have not been too happy about that and they know that as well... the police called me and told me to stop the harassing text or else they were going to file charges.... I don't call wanting my money harassment , I look at it I did a job for you and it's your job to pay me on time which is every Friday.... if you want to read more into the story go ahead I didn't ask for your input anyway
