MERRY CHRISTMAS to All! First year with Altom Transport is almost done, all is well, overall working for percentage pay vs mileage I work less and make more money(average is .60 per mile for all miles) quality of equipment is top notch with great service from our shops. Glad I made the move. Stay safe everyone and have a Happy New Year!

I stay out as much as possible as I am saving to buy a truck, don't want monthly payments, but anytime I needed to go home, say for doctor appointment, never a problem, they are very liberal as to time off, it's up to you, I've done a week and just a few days, they don't have a set policy like Schneider did, and on a couple loads to California the let me take a few days to visit my daughter and grandson and then found back hauls to allow time with them.

Here is a small game you can indulge in.

Any time you see the great Pumpkin rolling by on the flip side... say to yourself where are the little orange babies at?

Construction barrels are not far away. The orange ones.

That's what my trainer told me in 95. Cones are Schneider suppositories, and barrels are Schneider eggs.

Back then, there was also the question of why the bottom of JB Hunt trailers were painted orange. Well of course, the answer was that when they flipped, they'd look like a Schneider trailer.

So here's another update, Still with Altom, second year and still doing well, made over 82k, not to many issues with truck(normal stuff) they take care of right away. 2018 is looking to be even better if the economy stays on track! Be safe out there everyone!
