Yeah i heard i could do that as well, but i also heard it was easier to find a job and it would look 10x better to the company if you went through the schooling?

I think your biggest hold up is going to be your work comp claim. That will make it rough to find a good company.

See, you would think it would be a work comp.. but its not, When i went out on break the shipping guy cleaned the floors when i was on lunch beak and put my step underneath the platform where i work at, when he was done washing the floors he did not move one side of the stairs out all the way and when i went to step off of the platform onto the step my foot halfass missed the step and my knee folded in..i fell onto the ground and scooted my butt to that step and moved it back out so i could prop myself up onto the platform.. big mistake on moving it back out. i am going to court and fighting it and have to some how convince the judge that it was not out all the way, people say if u got hurt at work it is automatically workmans comp.. you would think. but alot of #### went to supreme court about this same injury and wormans comp has denied it cause this injury could happen anywhere.

That's hard to imagine. I thought if it happened at work it was comp. At any rate, if you're off 6 months how are you going to train? I had an ACL reconstruction. Climbing in and out of the truck wasn't easy. I did it becasue I was self employed but not sure I could pass a physical.

Domestics as in felony? That will kill you right there. If those go onto the DAC, You cannot have a felony ever.

As far as the finances. Look into a student loan. But be careful, it's 4000 dollars give or take and payments begin 6 months after graduation. YOU WILL pay Uncle Sam back. It will take out of any refunds from tax, garnishing etc including freezing your checking account and draining same should you default. If you die owing US, then they will take it from your estate or children.

Now Daddy O in the white house has graciously arranged for student loans to have a zero payment each month essentially a forgiving after 10 years repayment period it gets written off. It is about a 1.4 trillion dollar debt to the People of the United States greater than our Military or SS Budget each fiscal year. 35% are in default already.

    Awesome. Keep at it.

Whatever you do, try to have a few hundred at least when you go hire on. That way you don't draw comcheks and go into deeper debt than you already have. Even if it means flipping burgers or washing dishes a few months like I did once.

What do you mean how am i going to "train"? What it sounds like you did not have your full flex back in your knee, im assuming you did not keep up on your physical therapy.

The government will allow a number of weeks adding up to about 1500 dollars worth of physical therapy to break something loose so you can make use of that joint, limb etc. Just get a doctor to prescribe it and then take it to the PT place.

The truck WILL break that joint loose the problem is will that joint break leaving you down on the ground needing medical?

Train as in driver training. If your knee is bad enough for you to be off work 6 months then how will you drive a truck during that 6 months?

Heck no I didn't have full range of motion when I went back to driving. Surgeon told me 9-12 month recovery. I was back in a few weeks but I work for myself and I don't have to pass a test.
