    It doesn't have to be hard all the time, and when it is it should probably be wrapped. With a tarp.

    You can pull out too but that can be less effective. I mean, pull out without a tarp and as long as it doesn't get wet while it's on your trailer you should be OK.

    Get the load off before it gets wet.
