Don't get me wrong I totally agree with you, but let me ask you this...with not running more than 2500 miles, what's your take home avg if you don't mind me asking?

"Take home" could be a bit misleading as everyone's needs are different. But on the weeks I choose to run I do about $5000 to the truck, that's after LS's cut. I keep my expenses low and I choose to only run about 15 days a month.

Another example of someone that doesn't know how to figure
If the $2.00 load has a .21 per mile surcharge you would get $1.37 with a company trailer,$1.51 with your own van and $1.56 with your own flat. That is figured off a load that is on the board today.driverdriver Thanks this. -
5k to the truck??? Wow that sounds bout the same as running under your own numbers
-
I quoting a price without your own trailer and FSC is only given on a dedicated run where a fixed price is negotiated with the shipper and the FSC goes up and down depending on fuel prices. This is not the norm so yes, $1.30 is what you getpearcetrucking Thanks this.

It's normal to get a FSC, doesn't seem to matter if it's a direct shipper or not. I been with LS for a year and a half and have only had one load that didn't have FSC, and that was a gov't load that paid crazy good money so I didn't care anyway.

So you do flatbed?
-
No. I pull a stepdeck with ramps.
-
Oh... big bucks!
-
Then you obviously don't know what and how FSC is used for.
