You got it backwards driver. It's those female DOT
That are the worst. It's the only time in thier life
They can push a grown man around and they got
The law behind them to get away with it.

Been there, done that. I've quit OTR permanently [out of frustration and disgust] at least 6 times in the past 30 years. See you back out here later, when the other thing doesn't work out.

    It's all about the money.
Your not making enough everyweek to justify
Putting up with all the crap that comes with
    The job.

I'm keeping my CDL and all my endorsements and found a great job where I can use my degree later on. For the first time ever I work a normal schedule either 6-3 or 7-4.

So you had a bad day. If you are sick of it, literally get into something else like Flatbed and Tanker. Im betting ten to one you are running a van.

If you hate the truck you are in, what does that say to us when you climb into your personal torture chamber again for another workday on the road>? How about a nicer truck. Or literally a better area to work in, get out of Jersey and stay out. Run west. You will love it.

If you really hate it at your young age, you might have a problem. The DOT? HAH> Get in line brother. There are generations of truckers long dead before you were born who also hated DOT. I hate them too. But I try not to be around them. Not because im a law breaker but because I don't need them. It costs money every time to deal with them.

Please don't run off to join the Military. They will look at you and stick you into a Supply convoy with yep.. another heavy haul vehicle.

You're still a young guy and don't know what you want to do with your life yet. Find something you like to do and do that and don't worry about the money right away. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed being out on the road in my 20's either. I wanted to hang out and party at the club on the weekends, drive a flashy car and live that YOLO life. It gets old as you get into your 30's and you'll find yourself changing your opinions on a surprising amount of things. And your friends...enjoy them while they last because once they get married and have kids you wont ever see them anyway. Point being trucking may not be for you or it may not be for you just at this early point in your life. There's a reason the demographics tend to skew older for drivers
