Administrators. I am not sure where I should posts this. Let me know where I need to be.

There are a lot of newbies that would love to have this info. Are you brave enough to post? Not trying to be a d*ck but drivers should have an idea about what they would make. Lets here it drivers.

A lot of companies don't pay layover or holiday pay, and freight is low around the holidays. So you could be sitting in a truckstop that is, as most of them are, no where you have ever wanted to be, on a holiday (christmas? thanksgiving?) for a couple of days for NOTHING. There are many posts about pay on this site, most are bs. All things considered (lifestyle, health, time...) the pay is low, unless you have limited opportunities or very low standards. The first yr of trucking most drivers will gross 25-35K working 70-90hrs and live in the truck (at work). But most quit before then.
The thing with "longhaul" trucking is, it is no secret what you can top per hour. The real issue is how far from that can you go, it can get ugly. -
Depends with my job I get paid by the load. If the loads my well to the company I get paid well to.. For instance if a load of cement cost the customer $19ton, and I load say 28.5ton that's $541.50 then take my cut at 27% that would be $146.20 in my pocket. On the average I make any where from $200 to $250 a day. Some weeks I take home $1000 some only $600. If it rains and we don't work all week the company still pays me 4540 for doing nothing. As far as hrs goes it varies some days it 14 some 10....

at 30 cents an hour, and in a truck governed at 60mph, the best I can hope for is
13.25 * 60 * .3 - or, $238 per day.
Realistically, I tend to go about 500 miles a day on flat land, not 800, and average mph varies as the terrain.
Historically, I run closer to $150 to $170/day
I *do* get breakdown and layover pay, though, as well as demurrage after 4 hours. -
gless bros. tanker
.40 cpm all miles. loaded/empty
$15.00 unload pay
$15.00 load pay (I've only loaded once, hook and go is standard)
$10 for wearing the pesky suit while loading/unloading
$13 per hour after 2 demmurage (don't get this often am usually in and out)
$72 on sundays bonus per load delivered. (thought it was a 100)
$100 holiday pay
and I worked sunday labor day weekend... I was begging... pick me... lol
average $1250 a week, home every night, weekends off.
I stay busy but not stupid busy for 1250. Stupid busy you can do 1400 but it really isn't worth it to me...
made 800 one week... not happy coming in for three hours midday and going home... but i'm new and take what I can get and try to work with everybody.
pay stub posted under foodliner gless on the "inside scoop" section of the forum. -
Well I think the pay is based on what....lol on what one gets paid or HOW they get paid.
My pay is on the rare side and its salary. I drive less than 500 miles a day. Also my pay is determined by the number of stops I have on my route. Lol its on the low side so im not posting...neener neener. -
Looking at my paystub, I've fell off my average a bit. Still holding above $950 a week though.
That's average. And not bad considering the amount (a lot) of hometime involved. -
do not count of getting detention pay after 4 hours with May I waited 6+ hours and got nothing.
-
We also get break down pay, and demurage after 1hr..
