Try not to turn the steering wheel over half a turn, and practice
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Try loosening up your arms and hands, take a moment to mentally relax and focus.
Keithdabarber, firemedic2816 and Boattlebot Thank this. -
Just put both hands on the wheel and don't take them off.
If you have to take a hand off to turn the wheel you're over steering.
Obviously there are situations that require full-lock, but for your goal this will work.Keithdabarber, firemedic2816, TequilaSunrise and 2 others Thank this. -
Let me clarify.. I can back up straight for miles. Its literally everything else I over steer on
-
I kept my hands on the bottom of the steering wheel, ie, the 6:30 position or close to it while backing. Seems I would notice if I was oversteering better.
I hope you are talking about backing, not talking about driving forward, down the road!!!!
RedRover and Boattlebot Thank this. -

Exactly what I ment. Sorry my brains are getting rattled around In the sleeper and I'm distracted by my choice of lunch (chili cheese dogs from loves)

Take tiny baby steps with the steering wheel give your trailer time to react when you're turning the steering wheel and when you see your trailer start to drift the opposite direction you want it to go they turn your steering wheel the other way of the drift along with baby steps and do not catch your drifting trailer too late otherwise you will have to start over and if you're doing a road test they may have a limited time of backings and pullups you're allowed to do.Boattlebot Thanks this.

Trailer doesn t take much for it to start drifting so you need to constantly but slightly guide your trailer into the spot you're backing into little turns of the steering wheel.make sure you do that and catch the drift before it's too late.
Boattlebot Thanks this.
